CRG acquires Medacs Forensic Healthcare division
Recruitment and health service provider, CRG (Castlerock Recruitment Group), has acquired the Forensic Healthcare division of leading healthcare staffing and services company, Medacs Healthcare Plc, in an undisclosed deal.
The acquisition has enabled CRG to open its first established headquarters in the Salford Quays area. On 1 April, all 25 CRG Medical Services business support centre staff moved into new 2,000 sq ft offices in Hamill at The Quays at Clippers Quay, making CRG the largest occupier in the building.
Study reveals extraordinary cases of survival due to medical advancements
Acording to the study, over a 10 year period, 265 British casualties survived fatal wounds due to rapid medical advancements and rehabilitation programmes.
Surg Lt Cdr Jowan Penn-Barwell of the Royal Navy, said: 'The United Kingdom was at war in Iraq and Afghanistan for more than a decade. Despite assertions regarding advances in military trauma care during this time, until now, no studies had examined survival in UK troops during this sustained period of combat.
'While both the UK military and our American colleagues always believed that survival rates had improved, this is the first time that it has been demonstrated scientifically.'
