Three CRG nurses have been presented with a top award by the Chief Superintendent of Merseyside Police.
Forensic nurses Maria Michael, Louise Birchall and Nicola Sheridan were awarded Chief Superintendent’s Commendations for their service to Merseyside Police and the community.
The nurses, employed on CRG Medical Service’s Merseyside Police FME contract, were presented with their awards at a prestigious ceremony, where the Force recognises the outstanding service of both Police Officers and partner agencies.
CRG Medical Services staff received their awards for the following actions:
- Maria Michaels – Gave life-saving treatment to a man suffering serve blood loss from a gunshot wound
- Louise Birchall – Provided emergency treatment to a solicitor who had suffered a stroke whilst seeing a client in custody
- Nicola Sheridan– Nominated by Police custody staff for her continued exemplary service and teamwork; providing high levels of care to detainees and professional advice and support to the police.
David Henretty, National Operations Manager at CRG Medical Services, commented: “These awards recognise that our dedicated and professional staff are providing lifesaving interventions and providing high quality support to both detainees and Police alike on a daily basis.
