Congratulations to all employees who have won CRG Homecare’s Employee of the Month (EOTM).

Well done to Sue Fox and Karen Barr, from the Clacton branch, who have won EOTM for Courage! They showed enormous courage when arriving at a service user’s house to find the service user’s relative unconscious on the floor. Sue and Karen commencing CPR until the paramedics arrived. The ambulance team said that without the Sue and Karen giving CPR he would not have made it. Well done to Sue & Karen for your fast thinking!

Well done to Lauren Cottam, who has won April’s EOTM for Commitment! During the last few months Lauren has shown that she will give up her free time to help out with the on call (including nights and weekends) even though it’s not in her contract. Michelle and Shirley were unable to email one of the agency staff with their rota so Lauren went into the office at 8.30pm to allocate the calls and email their rota to them. She offered to do this because she understands the importance of ensuring the calls are covered and we have no missed calls. Thank you Lauren for your support and commitment to the Leicester branch!

Well done to Wendy Forshaw, from our Prescot branch who was nominated for going above and beyond with her service users. Wendy has introduced activities for her service users to keep them active including a jigsaw recycle, were they get a different jigsaw to complete every 2 weeks. The Prescot branch loved Wendy’s ideas so much that they have ruled the initiative out to all service users in the area. Congratulations Wendy on your award!

A warm welcome to Nidia Ferreira who joins the team in Hammersmith as a Care Quality Supervisor.

New Southampton ‘Hub’ Launch

As a result of the multiple acquisitions completed last year we had 4 of the group’s businesses operating out of 4 separate offices in Southampton. Rather than continuing on this basis we set off to create a regional hub where we could bring all of the businesses into 1 building which ultimately will save the group on lease costs but also create the opportunity for these businesses to work and train together. Within a very short window, we identified the new premises, completely gutting these, re-configuring the layout and decorated and created the new regional hub in Southampton bringing together:

CRG Homecare, Allied Healthcare, CRG Defence and CER Education

Giles Ruddle would like to thank the business areas for working and assisting us during the move but huge thanks go to Sarah Wright and Kirsty Forrest for managing the whole process.
