He would have been faster but he pulled his hamstring on the 20th mile! To help him raise money, please donate here.
Great news from the North West!
- There has been 4 successful candidates following the first upskilling session help by the babington group. Also, another upskilling session by the babington group has been booked in Bolton!
- ‘Audience with’ session has been held in East Lancashire to increase brand awareness of CRG Homecare. Following this 8 new candidates have been referred and interviewed
- Also a massive thank you to the hub in ensuring all candidates are contacted within 48 hours, giving CRG Homecare that advantage and positive service for our applicants.
The Business Systems team have now successfully deployed Webroster v2.0 into all of the CRG Homecare branches with the below additional benefits:
- New Cancelation/Aborted visit module – this is to enable accurate recording of this and to be able to report on this data, re allocate staff without moving visits to 3am etc. From the pilot in Liverpool this increased their ECM compliance by 10%.
- “Document Management – We are requesting that all branches upload LA/CCG ISO’s & Manual timesheets”
- Supplier – We are moving the sub-contractors to the supplier tab which will give further accurate reporting as the current method creates inaccuracies in reports, also the ability to create Remittance advices to streamline payment to sub-contractors
- Minimum / Maximum Hours – this to give the branches further information to effectively manage the hours which each carers have. This will be utilised in line with the WTR policy and report which is currently being worked on
- Tasks & Booking Notes – this is ongoing from what is already has been rolled out to pilot branches. This will enable further accurate information and further MI for the branch to ensure that care is being delivered to the necessary standards.
- Completing Client & Staff Extras from the workbook and adding this into Webroster – Duplicate data entry by the branch causing unnecessary admin, reports being built to report on this and manage this more effectively.
As part of the continuous development plan to ensure we are at the forefront of technology, the Business Systems team are putting together the next release.
If you have any further developments that you would like to see in the Webroster/BEE systems email firstname.lastname@example.org by end of play Friday this week.
Regional Director, Sonja Simms would like to thank Denise Warren for her hard work. Denise joined us a Peripatetic Branch Manager at the end of February and has been working with the Hackney and Thurrock branches. She has really focused the teams and supported them to understand the business. As a result we have seen Thurrock more than double their hours and 17 packages have been taken in Islington. Both councils are really happy with the turnaround resulting in some really positive feedback from Commissioners.

Starting last night and continuing throughout the May, CRG Medical Services are involved in the filming of a Channel 5 documentary titled ’60 minutes in the Force’, it will focus on a weekly 60 min period and follow the events within Derby Police Station’s custody suite. The producers will evaluate what is happening during this hour and select an event to film (investigations, interviews, arrests etc). This may mean that certain storylines will involve our staff performing their critical role and highlight the important work undertaken by our staff to ensure that detainees are kept safe, whilst also assisting investigating officers in the collection of forensic evidence as part of criminal cases. This is a great opportunity to showcase CRG Medical Services and our great staff, we will let you know when its due to be aired!
A nice thank you
Despite the high number of individuals who we keep safe and well whilst in Police Custody by our staff, it isn’t often that we get to hear just how appreciative they are of the care and compassion that they receive. Whilst many do verbally thank our staff, it’s unusual to receive a written letter of thanks. However, we have recently received such a letter from a detainee who was treated by Dyfed Powys Police Custody HCPs Julie McClennon and Debbie Harrison. The gentleman wanted to express his gratitude for their ‘upmost care and consideration’ along with their ‘help and kindness’. This is a great endorsement of the way our staff deliver services throughout our contracts and we are genuinely thrilled to receive such feedback. Well done Julie and Debbie, you should be rightfully proud!

Queen Elizabeth visited the set of Game of Thrones, but because of an obscure rule, she wasn’t allowed to sit on the iron throne. The ruling monarch can’t sit on a foreign throne, even if it’s fictional, apparently.
