Forensic Healthcare Professionals- Bank- Derby

CRG Medical Services is looking for dedicated bank Forensic Paramedic to work in custody settings across Derbyshire.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Forensic Paramedic you will assess and treat the immediate healthcare needs of patients, whilst playing a pivotal role in the criminal justice process. In return, we will help you to achieve your goals by continuous personal development and regular career progression sessions.

What the role involves:

  • £14.87p/h increasing to £15.38p/h after successfully passing probation
  • Taking forensic samples (including bloods and swabs)
  • Producing body maps of injuries
  • Assessing detainees under the Road Traffic Act
  • Prescribing and administering medications under Patient Group Directions
  • Assessing and managing detainee’s suffering with alcohol & drug withdrawal or intoxication
  • Responding to medical emergencies in the custody setting
  • Liaising with partner agencies to support vulnerable individuals as they progress through the criminal justice system

What you will need:

  • You must have the right to work in the UK 
  • A valid HCPC number
  • A minimum of 3 or 4 years post registration experience
  • At least 3 years residency in England (to satisfy vetting requirements)
  • A full clean valid driving licence (English licence)
  • Strong clinical skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop your clinical skills
