CRG Defence require a professional and experienced Orthodontist in the Aldershot area who has current GDC Registration.
What you’ll be doing:
Working unsupervised with competence and currency in the use of pre-adjusted edge-wise fixed appliances, functional appliances and removable appliances.
Ensuring that no less than 6.5 hours per day in 2 sessions are set aside for direct patient contact. During these hours the Civilian Orthodontist is to provide comprehensive orthodontic treatment to child and adult patients, dependant on patient base.
Ensuring that surgery management, documentation and maintenance of equipment is always kept to the required standard.
Maintain a patient data base of referral, both current and completed cases.
Ensure that all treatment is correctly recorded on the orthodontic treatment record.
Refer orthognathic patients as appropriate.
Provide written advice to the GDP including design of Upper Removable Appliances (URAs) as appropriate.

What you will need:
Have the right to work in the UK.
Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). Practitioners must be registered with the GDC without Restrictions on the GDC Orthodontic Specialist List.
Possess a Membership in Orthodontics or a Diploma in Orthodontics qualification.
Must hold valid suitable and appropriate indemnity insurance with a recognised dental defence organisation.
To have completed GDC highly recommended Continuing Professional Development (CPD) including basic life support, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, infection control, and adequate radiological protection knowledge.
Trained in emergency and resuscitation procedures and have practised and tested these procedures at least annually (in accordance with JSP 950 Leaflet 4-6-1 DMS CPR Standards and Training.
Have undertaken the additional health clearance checks for clinicians required to perform Exposure Prone Procedures (in accordance with the Department of Health policy entitled “Health clearance for tuberculosis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV: New Healthcare Workers”).
