Registered Nurse Band 6- Military Locum – Surrey

Are you a passionate, dedicated nurse looking for work in a unique environment? CRG Defence is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Registered Nurse Band 6 to work for the MoD in Surrey. This is a FULL TIME role and the successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 HOURS a week.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating patient care without supervision, prioritising own workload and making independent decisions whilst supervising more junior staff.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the delivery of patient care on the ward.
  • Utilise clinical expertise to lead a team and ensure the use of evidence based practice is applied to all care.
  • Support junior staff in areas of professional development.
  • Order and maintain the required level of medical supplies to include drugs, dressings and equipment to achieve patient care.
  • Work in either Complex Trauma Rehabilitation or Neurological Rehabilitation as required by service needs and directed by clinical lead and deputy.
  • Act as Team Leader and undertake ward coordination, providing clear support to both senior and junior colleagues.

    What you will need:

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • Must be Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and hold a valid PIN with no restrictions to practice.
  • Must hold current, valid personal medical indemnity insurance.
  • To have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience within the last 5 years in a ward environement.
  • Must hold in date Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Safeguarding Level 3 certificates.
